Explore founder and executive producer David McGuffin is a veteran broadcast journalist, podcast professional, media trainer and public speaker. Since 2019 David and his team have been working with leading Canadian and international organizations, producing professional podcasts and multimedia productions. Prior to founding Explore, David spent over two decades as a foreign correspondent and senior producer with NPR, CBC, NBC, PBS and others.

Explore co-founder Rene McGuffin is a seasoned communications executive with 20+ years of communications and partnership experience, including as an international journalist, media trainer, UN spokesperson and communications, partnership and marketing manager with the United Nations World Food Programme. She has also consulted for global development foundations, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. From 2019 to 2023 Rene oversaw business development, communications and content creation for Explore. She continues to serve on the company's board.
